Running is
one of those activities that I am not very enthusiastic about. Yeah, I know it
is really good for health. But this isn't a sufficient reason for me to start
doing it. But then I did go for it. What was the reason then? Well, the reason
is Nike+ sports kit that I had bought. Another week passed by before I could
open up the package and do with it what it was built for. Setting it up was easy, making the
accompanying instruction manual useless piece of paper.
Step Two-
Insert the sender into your Nike+ running shoes. I didn't have one so I made a
hole in the regular shoes and it works fine!
Then comes
the real task. RUNNING. While you are running (and listening to music, duh.) on
your Nike+ Kit, a smooth voice of a
woman comes up reminding you of your progress with running, informing
you about the time you have been running for, your speed, distance covered etc.
If you feel that the woman’s voice sounds like your mom of girlfriend, you can
switch to a male voice.
To take it
one step further, you can customize you day's workout from a basic one to
anything depending on your mood. Nike+ Kit also gives you the ability to track
your progress at the Nike website, set goals and see how good you achieve them.
These
features are quite helpful. You can, say, compare your stats with your friends’
stats to see who is doing better.
So far,
I've told you about its good qualities. Now let us turn to the other side of
the coin. The only downside that strikes me is that Nike+ Kit works only with
iPod Nano.
As a matter
of fact, I go out to run almost 5 days-a-week since I have bought the Nike+
Kit.
